Past Indefinite Tense Examples in Hindi

Past Indefinite Tense जिसे हिंदी में सामान्य भूतकाल कहा जाता है यह वाक्यों के अन्दर अतीत में घटित किसी घटना को दर्शाते हैं. इन वाक्यों का सन्दर्भ प्रायः निकट भूतकाल से होता है अर्थात कार्य ज्यादा दिन पहले घटित नहीं हुआ है. 

ऐसे वाक्य अपने आप में पूर्ण होते हैं और वाक्यों के आगे या पीछे किसी सन्दर्भ का होना आवश्यक नहीं होता है. अंग्रेजी के सकरात्मक वाक्यों में क्रिया के दुसरे रूप (V2) का प्रयोग होता है बाकी सभी प्रकार के वाक्यों में did के साथ क्रिया के base form (V1) का प्रयोग किया जाता है.

Affirmative Sentences

• उसने कमरा साफ़ किया था।   She cleaned the room.

• उसने किताब पढ़ी। ➔ She read the book.

• उसने अपनी वॉलेट गुमा दी। ➔ He lost his wallet.
• मैंने अपने जूते साफ किए। ➔ I cleaned my shoes.

Negative Sentences

1. उसने रात का भोजन नही बनाई। ➔ She did not cook dinner.
2. वे लोग फुटबॉल नही खेले। ➔ They did not play football.
3. मैंने अपना होमवर्क खत्म नहीं किया था। ➔ I did not finish my work.
4. उसने सब्जी नही खरीदी थी। ➔ He did not buy vegetables.
5. उसने रसोई साफ नही की। ➔ She did not clean the kitchen.
6. मैंने अपने दोस्त को फोन नही किया। ➔ I did not call my friend.
7. उसने परीक्षा के लिए पढ़ाई नही की। ➔ He did not study for the exam.

16. मैंने प्रश्न का उत्तर नही दिया। ➔ I did not answer the question.
17. हमलोगों ने टैक्सी नही ली। ➔ We did not take the taxi.
18. उसने नही लिखा। ➔ She did not write.
19. मैंने किताब नही लौटाया। ➔ I did not return the book.
20. मैंने फोन चार्ज नहीं किया। ➔ I did not charge my phone.
